Corrugated Metal Gaskets can be used in specialty flanges such as heat exchangers The corrugated metal core can be made with regular gasket materials such as carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel (if you need to go to higher temperatures), and other high-temperature materials.
The filler material typically has a have graphite facing. Other non-asbestos fillers can be adapted to this gasket, but in petrochemical applications, we only see the graphite facing. They’re a sheet of metal that’s manufacturers corrugate to make the corrugated metal core. The gasket should be used with a soft facing which essentially means flexible graphite (that’s what the gasket companies call it, we call it graphite), or another filler material like PTFE on each side.
The Corrugated gaskets consist of a stainless steel wave stainless steel plate with a graphite foil seal seat on both sides. The graphite layers and metallic core profile are adjusted in such a way that a wave crest overlap of 0.1 to 0.2 mm is guaranteed in the restraint condition. This achieves a very low diffusion cross-section. In addition, there is also a high density of the graphite in these areas.
The metal gaskets are produced in several types to meet the most demanding applications, shapes round, oval, rectangular, etc.

Kammprofile gaskets are used in the most demanding environments, such as refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, nuclear power plants, etc. The load stability of Kamprofile or Camprofile gaskets is notably superior to flat gaskets, and ensures sealing against high temperatures, pressure, and situations requiring high bolting forces.
We can manufacture gaskets as per your size requirement. For specific cases, larger meters or special fabrications according to drawings, such as oval seals or other geometric shapes.
We manufacture with a metallic core (generally stainless steel), with concentric grooves on both sides of the gasket and slightly convex profile, which allows to achieve the maximum sealing point with the contact surfaces. It adapts perfectly to the roughness of the flange face and its irregularities.
Our Kamprofile gaskets have an excellent capacity to withstand high pressures and variations, as well as temperatures up to 1000ºC depending on the type of material used for their manufacture.
